Brunei Mosques' Series

The start of a new series of introducing Brunei Darussalam's mosques. Today is the Abdul Azim Mosque which is located about 10 km from Tutong Town. Construction began on 21st December 1991 on a 4-acre land. It was completed on 23rd September 1992 with a cost of about $0.78 million. The site and the construction was a wakaf (endowment) from Awang Haji Yakub bin Tahiruddin. It has a capacity for 800 people.

Do visit our beautiful mosques in Brunei Darussalam and all the other mosques in the world. Our Prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) have asked us to do and that is to pray in congregation.

"If the one who misses the congregational Prayer knew what reward lay in it for him, he would come to it slithering. (Tibrani)"

So muslims, listen to Allah and His Messenger. Let us not procrastinate and let us start now. Let us go to the masjids, not only in Ramadhan, but for the rest of the year and insya-Allah for the rest of our short duration in this world. Let us bring ourselves to the Masjid with our children and let us stand united as one Ummah in front of Allah Azza Wa Jalla.
